Synopsis
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy? This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . .
Review
I have actually had this book for over a year. It was the first book I ever
won after I started blogging. I won it from Mary@Book Hounds. I have
tried to start this book a few times. but I just couldn't get into it. Finally I just
pushed myself to read it. I really go into it around chapter 4. From then I just
devoured it.
I loved the romance between Jace and Clary. I loved the fact that he was rude
and stand-offish to everyone except Clary. Then the end of the book just
ruined it for me. It made me so mad. I was ready to throw it in the trash.
Don't let that make you not read the book, I still liked the story. It was very
entertaining. Just be ready for a huge twist at the end.

This is one of those series you have to see through to the end. The end of City of Bones definitely is blood boiling and a total slap in the face. This ended up being one of my all time favorite series though, but I totally agree about the ending of this one!

I have read many reviews saying don't let the first one keep you from the rest. I was debating if I should just jump into the next one or give it a couple weeks. I already bought book COA. I'll read it in the next couple days.
